    My wife has a PAYG Vodafone account, phone number 07990751210 with a Doro 1370 white phone
    We were in your Cambridge, Grand Arcade branch on Monday 4th March and saw a better model Doro phone priced as a limited offer at £11 reduced from £14 but when we decided to buy one they found they had only the display model in stock. Andrew, the assistant who served us, contacted Vodafone Barkingside branch, which is the nearest one to our home, established that they had one of those better ones in stock, asked them to reserve it and assured us they would keep it for seven days but we should pay for it then and there at the Cambridge shop, which we did. He then assured us we would just have to present the receipt to Barkingside and collect the phone.

    That may well have been the case except for the fact that the model number he put on the £11 receipt was 1370, EXACTLY THE SAME DORO MODEL AS MY WIFE ALREADY HAS. This outing to your Barkingside branch today, cost us 35 minutes of waiting time before we could even talk to an assistant and a further half an hour attempting to make sense of the wrongly written receipt (all relevant figures are on the receipt sent here as an attachment) and after all this time we came away empty handed and what is more we were refused a refund of the £11 we had paid in Cambridge. The assistant flatly refused to contact Cambridge to sort out the mistake and said we must wait for an email – for no apparent reason.

    The mobile telephone number quoted on the receipt has nothing whatever to do with either me or my wife and nowhere does it quote her correct number. It has been completely impossible to contact Andrew.

    Please sort this out and very quickly.
