    My deepest condolences.
It is with great regret that this morning I learnt about the passing away of Sultan Qaboos. A great ruler who did lots for his country and bought fame for Oman on the International Diplomatic circuit. It gives me great pride as a Royal Naval Officer to say that I had the pleasure to serve as a Loan Service Officer (1990 to 1992) with His Majesty’s Royal Navy of Oman. A period in my life that brings back memories of a very beautiful and friendly place with a great culture and long history.
